Indian Pacific Wheel Ride 2026
An annual bike-packing event that starts on the 3rd Saturday in March each year. This year 16 riders have left to ride to Sydney. The first riders should be arriving in Norseman Tuesday 24th with slower riders up to a week later.
You can see where riders are on the course via the tracking page as they all carry GPS tracking devices.

Laurence "Lozza" Walters
Lozza was a competitor in the 2025 Indian Pacific Wheel ride who then continued on to do a full lap, setting a record for the fastest unsupported circumnavigation of Australia on a fixie.
Sinisa Babic
Experienced Croation rider, Sinisa completed the 4,000km Audax Trans-Oz ride from Fremantle to Sydney on one of his many rides across Australia. The resilience shown by such an experienced rider after an accident and the number of other cyclists he met crossing the paddock are features of his story. Full story on the Audax website.
Paul Adams (OZ)
As of 29th October 2025, Paul is currently crossing the paddock. No website or blog. Paul has given me permission to post some of his pics here and on the Nullarbor Cycling Facebook page.
Matthew O'Brien
Matthew O'Brien recently made the journey across the paddock, riding solo and unsupported.
The story of his journey has been recorded at Men's Fitness Online. A few more challenges to overcome than most, but Matthew persevered and completed the journey.
